Naturally, Alejandra Ghersi aka Arca didn’t stop working after the release of KiCk i — the LP we at Bleep ordained as 2020’s album of the year. Much in the audacious style of her 62-minute epic @@@@@ from earlier in the year, Riquiquí;Bronze-Instances(1-100) follows suit with a huge 100 tracks of avant-electronic productions — that’s almost six hours of music! Each track is an ‘instance’ of the same song subtly altered by each passing minute, sonically resonant of Arca’s latent poppier sensibilities yet constantly in flux, darkly ambient one second and bombastic the next. It all constitutes yet another conceptual and musical triumph.
